Drawing influences from classic bluegrass, folk, country, and even traditional gospel, the North Carolina-based band Mandolin Orange evokes the balmy timelessness of Americana in their music. Here they are performing an acoustic version of “Wake Me” at last year’s Pickathon, a sweet, bluegrass-inspired tune about a weary, heartsick wanderer. Rosanne Cash is a fan and we are, too.
