To navigate our current climate reality, we must imagine a better climate future. During 2024 Climate Week in New York, Grist hosted Better Worlds Ahead, featuring visionaries Stacey Abrams (Rewiring America) and Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson (Urban Ocean Lab) for an in-depth conversation about imagining better futures, finding hope and motivation for continued action, and where climate solutions are already taking root. Esteemed multi-disciplinary artist Aisha Shillingford (Intelligent Mischief) also guided an interactive visioning exercise to help us collectively articulate the climate futures we want and how we can start building them now.
This free event was part of Climate Week NYC and open to the public. Presented by Grist, Mother Jones, Rewiring America, and the Tishman Environment & Design Center at the New School.
