Man, PETA thinks they’re sooooo edgy, with their furry crotch shots and their racism. But they don’t have a patch on Berlin activist group Fuck For Forest. As demonstrated in a new documentary that will be screening at SXSW next month, this NGO believes in saving the planet by videotaping themselves having sex. Meanwhile, PETA bought a .xxx domain and used it for something that’s not even a porn site. Ugh. Step it up, guys.

Here’s a trailer for the documentary, which features some mild nudity, although if we really need to tell you not to watch the trailer for a movie called Fuck For Forest while you’re at work you may have bigger problems than your boss seeing a nipple on your screen:

The concept here is that the group sells homemade porn on the internet, using the funds to buy up threatened rainforest land. But they’re not above a little naked public protest, which I guess serves the dual purpose of advertising what’s available if you buy their films. Here’s one of their political actions, involving nude make-outs in a church. (Warning: Contains adult situations, such as peen and butts and garter belts and choir members in robes looking alarmed.)

Then there’s the time two Fuck For Forest members got fined $1,400 each for banging on stage at a conference … but you can read more about that in Grist’s profile here. Or just go see the film.
