Street artist Aiden Glynn has been turning the streets of Toronto into a haven for kindly monsters. With some well-placed teeth and eyeballs — they look like mainly styrofoam and clay — he can transform a humble trash can or concrete block into a whimsical muppet.
This is my favorite kind of street art — the kind that simply and unobtrusively makes the city seem a little more magical. And, in this case, possibly a little more likely to break into an educational song about how to tie your shoes.
