Late last year, Fox News baffled everyone by running a special on global warming that presented the science accurately. Fox’s right-wing supporters were upset that the wrong other side wasn’t represented. The world asked: WTF?

Well, the natural order will be re-established this Sunday evening with a Fox News special called, "Global Warming: The Debate Continues." From the show description:

Today, almost all scientists agree that there is global warming, but there is no scientific consensus about what causes global warming or how it will affect our lives.

In this FOX News special, climatologists, atmospheric scientists, glaciologists, economists, a U.S. Senator and a Bush administration spokesman acknowledge that global warming is happening and will continue in the future. But, these experts say greenhouse gas emissions from burning fossil fuels are only partly to blame for global warming and are not the major force responsible for changes of the Earth’s climate.

Grist thanks its sponsors. Become one.

This is … what’s the word? … incorrect. But if Fox News believes anything, it’s that correctness must be balanced with incorrectness. On the show, every skeptic from the fever swamps of the right-wing think-tank world will get air time.

Also interviewed: Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), who’s called global warming the "greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people" and is eager to counter the "Al Gore Hollywood" version of the story. Oy.

If anyone can bear to watch it, let me know how it is.
